Jon Wayne CD at last!

Post by Earnest Bovine »

After 16 years of breathless anticipation (asphyxiation?) you can now get your mitts on the 2nd Jon Wayne CD, "Two Graduated Jiggers".

The first CD, "Texas Funeral", has been a steady seller for us since its initial release on vinyl in 1984, and on CD in 1991. Not content to rest on the laurels of high praise from the Nashville cogniscenti, Jon Wayne has produced a 2nd CD which makes "Texas Funeral" sound like John Tesh.

I think there is some steel guitar on this CD, and I think I played it, but I don't really remember. This CD is not about the steel guitar. Rather, it is a profound statement about the human condition.

You can get it from Timmy Turlock in Tennessee at trainrec@bellsouth.net .

That's great news. I got the 45 a month or so ago.

I love profound statements.

Texas Funeral has been played quite often around the studio here. It either clears the place quicker at the end of a session, or I can't get anybody TO leave. Either way works for me.

I think that Jon Wayne is the Darlene Edwards of country music.

I saw the band play love and it was such an earthshaking experience I had to leave town afterwards. Took the wife on a 2 week vacation. I can truly say I've never heard anything like them, before or since. It was truly unique.
