Free Junior Brown Tickets

Post by Peter Dollard »

No this is not a comeone well kind of. Junior Brown will be playing the city of West Sacramentos Riverbank Festival on Sept. 30. This year the festival is free, you heard me, and the second act is Del Mc Courys Bluegrass Band. Obviously you would have to come to West Sacramento. Perhaps even check out all the stuff I'm trying to sell out of my garage, speakers, records, tapes etc. Anyway it is at our new walkway on the Saramento River and it is a real pretty view. E-Mail me for more info if you feel so inclined.

It would be worth the trip just to see Del and his band. They are wonderful players & do some country cross over things.(blue grass)

The flood of banjo jokes notwithstanding, Del has an excellent band and has played exceptional music for the past thirty five years keeping the spirit of Lester Flatt and Bill Monroe alive. Pete

Waaaaaaahh!
I want to be there.

Hey Peter I love Del and his boys, they are great. Del's 1968 debut LP {now on Cd} to his latest are fantastic.
Also a bit of trivia, when Del split Bill Monroe in early 1964 he moved to California and joined the Golden State Boys and played on Cal's Corral for a brief time.
