My OLD tape is available!!
Dave Van Allen's Pop/Rock "cult favorite" Steel Guitar Dance Party! is once again available as a four tune cassette, or as a "custom burned just for you" CD-R.
Steel Guitar Danse Party! was recorded at the height of the New Wave/ Rockabilly craze of the 80's and features my band, the D-V-8's performing my original tunes. Three out of the four are vocal numbers, but the majority (95% probably) of the "rhythm guitar" and lead work was performed on lap and pedal steel guitars. There are a couple of other featured solos (Harmonica and Guitar ) but it is truly a Steel Guitar Danse Party.
Hear Steel Guitar in a "Power Pop", Rockabilly or Rock context.
Song titles and RealAudio Bytes are available at the link above.
"Forum Special Price" is $8, includes Shipping.
Email me at vanallen@voicenet.com for Ordering Details, and be sure to say you read about it here!

Disclaimer:
This work and it's title predates and in no way is related to Steve Larios' fine "Steel Guitar Party" album.

most of the cuts on Steel Guitar Danse Party, as well as some other LIVE recordings of my originals band from the 80's the D-V-8's are on my new Live365 station at http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/directory.cgi?autostart=moosemuse
there's even a version of "Maiden's Prayer" from Heartlands Hayride for the C&W lovers...
let me know what you think... or don't...
but, do drop in (dew drop in)
you can compare my singing with BE's
