Lloyd Green and Tommy White Video

Post by Teresa White »

Just a little note to let all you know, our video will be out around the first of Feb.
We have just completed some minor editing and we are in the final process before duplication begans. We are so pleased with how it is turning out. We appreciate everyones patience. The video will be available on Tommy's web site at www.tommywhite.com
We are trying to leave the video as untouched as possible so people can experience the performance as it happened,
mistakes and all! Thanks again for your patience.

Find it hard to believe those two could make any mistakes!!
That alone should make it worth owning!! LOL

Sure they make mistakes, just like humans do. Most likely, in their case, they played one astonishing idea instead of another one that they thought they were gonna play.

I expect to read more details when this becomes available but can someone fill me in now? I've read repeated references to this but I keep missing the what/when/where of this event. Where and when was this taped?

John Light----At the Bell Cove Club, in Hendersonville {a suburb of Nashville], Jan. 9th.
I was lucky enough to be there. There was a BUNCH of other good pickin', that went on, also.
The next one will be in April, same place. It's something you should not miss, if at all possible.

As my wife posted,Lloyd Green and myself have just finished a live performance video. What an honor to get the chance to play with a true master and have it recorded.Lloyd and I feel this was a historic event,as we chose to play all songs on the E9th tuning with no rehearsal.Wow!, was that scary. I must say,Lloyd's performance was nothing short of stellar.I hope those who purchase the video will enjoy it as much as we did making it.
All my best,
T.W.

We've had some people wanting to know about the quality of our video. I work in television and before doing this I assured both Tommy and Lloyd this would be broadcast quality and it is. It was recorded on hi speed television beta with television lighting and sound. We are sure that anyone that purchases
this video will be more than happy with the quality. You also need to know that Lloyd and Tommy would never do anything unless it were top notch quality. I think their past reflects this.

With the exception of Tereasa trying to keep the TWO masters dry under those HOT lights, (I could feel them from where I was sitting)it went off without a hitch.except for the electriciy. You would neverknow it was with NO REHERSAL. They were positely Great..and the great backup band (Opry/ Time Jumpers...couldn't have been better. Note for note and lick for lick..no flaws. I know this will be a great tape folks..IT WAS LIVE AT THE BELLCOVE and NTPSGA!!!! Image

Skip, Yes we do believe it will be available at the Dallas convention. We think it may be available a George L's booth.
Marco, as of now the video will be in vhs format.
The release of the video is looking like it may be closer to the middle of Feb. maybe a little sooner, I'll keep everyone updated.

Marco,
A whole new world of videos will open up if you get a VCR that will play NTSC tapes in addition to the PALs.They`re not too expensive anymore either.

Ollie and Marco
You guys don't know how lucky you are in Europe! I'm emigrated from the UK to the US, and dual system VCRs are very hard to find here, and very expensive!
I have hundreds of PAL tapes and, as yet, can't play them here. The last VCR I bought in Britain (in '93) had the dual facility and I didn't even ask for it - it was just on there...
