Mike Neer-Steelonius Westfield, NJ- Tuesday August 17

Post by Craig Stock »

Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone around on Tuesday August 17 in downtown Westfield New Jersey, that Mike Neer will be performing outdoor at 137 Central Ave. between 7-9PM with his band.

Mike has played a few times at the Festival before and will be here again with a band that will impress, so if you can make it stop by and say hello. It's free and if weather is threatening the, show will go on Wednesday.
Regards, Craig

I was married about three blocks away from that location in 1980.

Thanks, very cool Bob, I was as well in 1989, at the Lutheran Church by Roosevelt Junior High, I graduated in 1980, did you grow up in town, or marry a local girl?

Place is still similar, but not the place it used to be, but that's true with a lot of places, but I still hang my hat here for now. My wife is the last of 4th generation natives.
Regards, Craig

I married a gal from North Plainfield at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church. I am from Tennessee(!) and we met in Georgia. NY and NJ were quite the cultural adjustment for me but fascinating. :D We settled in the South.

I am sorry for tuning in 1/2 way through your performance.

I really enjoyed the music and song choices.

Awesome you guys were playing during the hurricane.

I saw the Vibes player in Albuquerque a year or so ago at their local Summerfest. Outstanding player, the Band Leader was the Drummer, but I do not recall the groups name.

Keep up the great work and direction you have chosen to express the steel guitar.
