Back up and Push Steeler
Sometimes when I have trouble getting to sleep, which is quite often, I rest on the futon and listen to Steelradio.org The music ususally relaxes me to where I can wind down and get to sleep.
A couple months ago, I heard this amazing, mind blowing version of what I think the DJ said was Back up and Push by Eddy Dunlap.
I could have it all wrong trying to remember it in my slumber, but I believe that was it...or maybe I was just dreaming.
Anybody know what I'm referencing or who if not Eddy?
I'd love to get another sampling of that. It is/was great. My online searches came up empty.

TY John. I'll check it out. Is it on youtube? Doug is a hoss for sure. I was half asleep and they played many steel instrumentals. I thought I heard Eddy Dunlap mentioned but I could be wrong.
By the by, was it you and your father that visited us at the local steel club? Or am I mistaken again?

I have a set of recording of Doug live in the 70’s from Long Island. I believe he plays that tune.

Hey, Jerry! That was me
. I did that on my my first instrumental record from about 10 years ago. I need to put it up on streaming( never got around to it. Just have printed CDs) I played guitar on that cut too, and had Spivey do the fiddle work and Will Houchens on keys. The rest of the record is all traditional country. I got Capps, Pig, Brent Mason, Lloyd Green to guest on it and I played acoustic, Upright bass and tic tac. Thank you for the kind words! I'm working on a new instrumental album at the moment and will do some more modernesque type of material.

Oh man! Thanks Eddy. If you put it on streaming that would be great, but I'd buy that CD if you can point me to a source. I don't recall hearing the other cuts, but with that line up, it's gotta be great. I'd like to add it to my steel collection if it's available somewhere.
I'll keep an ear out for the new offerings too.

Yes Jerry, that was my father and me. I visited him in Louisville for his 96th birthday. He passed away about 3 months later, January 08. That Jernigan video is on YouTube, probably by Larry Eagle the staff drummer for PSGA.

Yes, I though I remembered correctly. It was nice having you and him visit us. The club folded a few years ago.
Sorry to hear of your father's passing.
I'll look up the Jernigan video as time permits. Thanks again.
