Los Angeles Pedal Steel Jam -- Saturday, March 28th, 2026, 9:30am, Burbank, CA

Post by George Biner »

Hello LA Steelers:

Well, it took some detective work and horse trading, but I got a date back at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ship #1310 in beautiful downtown Burbank, California, for another pedal steel guitar jam on Saturday, March 28th, 9:30am to 3:30pm. Come join us as we jam to tracks

These jams are really something special -- we've had some great players drop by previously - these are people you may not mix with every day
-- to hear their great musical ideas and technique up close is really an experience -- I think we all look for good music to experience, well this is worth the effort to show up

Learners are welcome as well -- this is a wonderful opportunity to get some friendly tips from experienced players -- a shortcut to your journey, maybe

Just bring your guitar, amp and extension cords -- this is a very friendly and supportive gathering -- don't worry, no matter what you play, it will be a memorable experience

Listeners are welcome too

Some fantastic players we've had in the past at this event:
Jay Dee Maness, Doug Livingston, Skip Edwards, John McDuffy, Mark McConville, Peter Freiberger, John Corzine, George Madrid

Please plan on attending and support this effort to advance pedal steel guitar! And please spread the word to your friends

We must contribute to the VFW for the use of the room, so everybody please bring a $20 picture of Andrew Jackson (cash) (if you're flat broke, don't worry, come anyway)

Date: Sat March 28th, 2026
Location: VFW #1310, 1006 Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506, 818 842 1739
Hours: 9:30am - 3:30pm
Suggested donation to VFW is $20, cash preferred
Lunch -- there will be a short lunch break -- no food at the venue but you can bring anything in -- there are many restaurants walking distance
Attendees are encouraged to buy refreshments at the VFW bar in the other room and leave a tip
Lots of parking on Magnolia Blvd, easy load-in through the front door, no stairs
