Resonator Coverplate Advice

I need a coverplate for a spider bridge style resonator guitar that I am working on. I have contacted Resophonic Outfitters but it appears there is quite a long back-order list. I will keep my order active with them but in the meantime I am considering buying one of the replacement Paul Beard import coverplates that Goldtone sells. I am sure they are not the same quality as the ones Beard uses on their instruments but wonder if anyone has bought one and can offer some feed back as to quality, material, and any issues with swpping it out once an am able to get a standard Beard made coverplate.
